Team NHL Seattle Kraken

The Seattle Kraken is an American professional ice hockey club based in Seattle, Washington. He officially played his first games in the 2021/22 season, when he played in the Pacific Division within the Western Conference. In the Pacific Division, he replaced the Arizona Coyotes, who moved to the Central Division, from this season. The matches are played in the newly rebuilt Climate Pledge Arena.

Official admission to the NHL structures was approved by the Board of Governors on December 4, 2018. Seattle's entry into the NHL was facilitated by Seattle Hockey Partners, led by majority owner David Bonderman, film producer Jerry Bruckheimer, and president and CEO Tod Leiweke. However, the original entry date of 2020 was missed due to the longer reconstruction of the hall, so it was subsequently moved to 2021. The entire reconstruction was supposed to cost around 600 million dollars, but the total costs were much higher. For the city itself, this is the first top professional club since 2008, when the basketball SuperSonics were moved from the city. A group of businessmen subsequently registered thirteen potential names for the club, the final name was subsequently chosen during the construction of the hall.

Ice hockey has a strong tradition in the city, despite the recent date of this franchise. The Seattle Metropolitans became the first American club in history to dominate the fight for the Stanley Cup. However, the club was not a member of the NHL, in which the New York Rangers became the first American winner eleven years later.

The Seattle Kraken NHL team was founded in 2021 as a new NHL team and plays in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. The team plays its home games at the newly constructed Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. The team is named after the legendary sea monster the kraken, and throughout its history, the team is just beginning to make its mark in the NHL. In the 2021–2022 season, the team failed to make the playoffs and finished last in the Pacific Division.
